What our visitors say:
Perfect Yoga Retreat in the tropics
I was very pleasantly surprised with the absolute quality of both the facility and the teaching staff for both yoga and Pilates. The place is kept immaculately clean. The rooms are basic but beautiful. The food is out of this world. I had twelve days there and wanted more.
Unique and Magical place like no other!
Words will probably not adequately express my gratitude to what this place has given me, and this is only after an 8-day stay – I could’ve easily lived there for a few months!
I was looking for a place where I could recharge, be with myself, and practice some healing for my body, spirit and mind; wonderland provided all of that and more. After doing the 8-day yoga package I felt completely revitalized! (mind you this is the bare minimum you should book, the days fly by!)
Everything from the incredible vegan food, to the yoga instructors (Tamara is great!), the set up of the resort, the well kept premises, massages, facilities, and the amazing individuals you meet – the retreat really caters to all your needs. Not once have I felt the need to venture out – I did do an excursion for ecstatic dance on a Sunday noon (recommended!) – but I was happy to stay put.
The cost is very reasonable for what you get; I booked a private room with shared pool and got 2 free massages, Reiki, and full-board catering. Everything is optional so you can create your own little yoga program – and you can also opt for detox and various treatments – The Inner healing journey with Melody is quite the experience in itself! and a special shout-out to the wonderful meditation classes with Aly – I have incorporated some of the practice here back home!
The food deserves it’s own paragraph; delicious, varied – never craved eggs, cheese, or meat or ever felt hungry, and lost two pounds in the process! I am even considering Pescetarianism since I have abstained from red meat, with ease, since my holiday – also one fresh fruit shake included per day in the package deal, and the morning banana pancakes were to die for! (sans milk!)
I hope the owners keep the spirit of this place intact as they become inevitably and increasingly popular (they’re already building new rooms to accommodate demand) – thank you thank you thank you! I’ll be back!
A wonderful retreat
I absolutely loved this place. They have got everything right here. The food was fantastic, all fresh and healthy. I’m not usually a vegan but I learnt that food can be more interesting and delicious without meat. There is a lovely eating area to relax and socialise with others. The rooms are clean and spacious, with your own balcony to chill out in the hammock overlooking the pool. To the back you can see out onto lush green jungle. There is a wide variety of classes and talks going on to keep you busy and open your mind to new experiences. The staff and owners are very helpful and welcoming. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience!
Yoga and more
I stayed for 11 days. The accomodation was very comfortable, I was in a single room, and overlooked the pool.
The vegan food selection was amazing, so fresh, delicious and plentiful.
The pool was a lovely escape from yoga and meditation with the heat, and the steam room , was also very relaxing.
I went over as a solo, but came away meeting so many lovely people from all over the world.
I had not done a lot of yoga, so learnt a lot from the various teachers and it was good that level 1 and 2 classes were offered. Loved the pilates classes as well.
The various mediation sessions were great to experience.
I didn’t do the detox, so can’t review that.
If you want a holiday that you can do as much or as little as possible, this is a great option. the side trips to see the sunsets were lovely, and the massages and treatments offered were bliss.
It is located too far to walk to the shops or beach, but taxis are easy to book and you can also use the free bicycles.
Thank you for a great holiday break, would highly recommend Wonderland.
